Giglets
Giglets Limited, “a small company with untold potential", would like to present to you its products and how they can work effectively in the home and classroom by increasing children's cultural and historical awareness as well as their motivation, interaction and participation.
We endeavour to educate young children whilst encompassing all aspects of Scottish history, culture and literature and even tackling some of the societal issues which Scotland faces today, such as childhood obesity and healthy living, to better our society through Tam O'Haggis "opening a learning gateway to Scotland".
Indeed, the members of this company have had very recent firsthand experience of this, as we are all currently studying at university or college and only left school two years ago, where we began our road to success as a national finalist Young Enterprise Company in our 6th year at Loudoun Academy, East Ayrshire.
In conjunction with our current book, we also sell an interactive software package, produced in partnership with EDpaX for education.
Moreover, we also operate in the retail market, with our biggest customer being Borders bookstores.
Now that Giglets has introduced you to the world of Tam O'Haggis, we hope you feel the same enthusiasm for the concept as we do. As such, we hope that you will be interested and excited to hear that Giglets will soon be releasing its second title, “Tam O’Haggis: The Life and Times of Robert Burns”, which is to be launched in March 2009.
All the best for 2009, let’s make Homecoming a year to remember!
